What I Bought on Black Friday

There’s something oddly satisfying about scoring a deal on something you already love — or finally buying something you’ve had your eye on for months (okay, years). This year’s Black Friday didn’t disappoint. And honestly, I try to clean the house during Black Friday weekend so I don’t spend money. Lol! This year I had a few things to look at and then it was time to put the phone down.

I stuck to my tried-and-true philosophy: don’t pass up a perfect price. Here’s what I ordered:

SPANX

Let’s start with the obvious. You literally can’t beat the sale.
The AirEssentials crew for $29? Sign. Me. Up.

I live in these sets.. whether I’m editing photos, running errands, lounging, or tossing toys back into a basket for the fifth time that day. They’re soft, elevated, and stretchy enough for chasing kiddos. So here is what I bought this time around.

SPANX AirEssentials Crewneck in RED, SPANX AirEssentials Cocoon Cardigan in French Grey, and SPANXshape Booty Boost 7/8 Leggings in Smoke.

GAP

I never skip a GAP sale for the kids.
Why? Because the pieces last.

The sizing is generous, the quality is unmatched, and I love how long we get out of their items — even with daily wear and toddler adventures. Our daughter is currently wearing some of her big brother’s hand-me-down GAP pieces (proof that the quality really holds up).

But don’t worry — this year I stocked up on girly items so our girl can have some of her own moments, too. We’re leaning into the bows, ruffle sleeves, and cozy layers. If you’re interested in what I got for the kids, leave a comment on this blog post.

This year I ordered myself the GAP Modern Turtleneck in several colors. I love a layered look and I ordered these in a tall. Am I tall? I’m 5’5 and I’m not sure if my shirts shrink or if I have a long torso — either way I went with tall this time. :)

Vince Camuto

It’s been over a decade since I bought my OG pair of black leather boots — and while they’re still beautiful, a few scuffs and scrapes from weddings and muddy family sessions told me it was time. (Why oh why did I wear these beautiful boots to family shoots?! Warmth?? Who knows)

As much as I love a heeled boot, this season of life is flat-boot-friendly. I ordered the Vince Camuto Amiyah Riding Boot Black — a classic riding boot that I can wear to work, on mom duty, or out on a date (let’s be honest, mostly work and mom duty).

I haven’t worn them yet, (they haven’t even come in) but I have high hopes. Vince boots never let me down. How b-e-a-utiful are these!? Not to forget — currently 50% off!

Merit Beauty

I’ve been eyeing Merit for a few years now but was waiting on the EWG ratings to roll in before I committed. Now that I know they meet my clean beauty standards, I finally hit add to cart.

Right now I’m still experimenting — but the real test will be a warm wedding day when I’m sweating, running between locations, and still trying to look pulled together. If it passes the wedding-day test, it’s officially in my routine. But 1 week in, I’m loving it! Feels soft and truly melts into the skin.

Here is what I picked up: The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick - Linen, Flush Balm - Lusitano, Bronze Balm Sheer Bronzer - Clay, Brush No. 1 Blending Brush aka the Intro Set.

So Tell Me…

What did you grab during the Black Friday sales? Any good finds I should check out? I’m always on the lookout for good staples, cozy home finds, and things that make life feel just 10% more put-together.
